Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights
To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.

More than 2.04 million foreign visitors entered Shanghai using the visa-free and 240-hour visa-free transit policies in the first half of this year, accounting for over 60 percent of all inbound foreign travelers.
To further enhance the inbound tourism experience, Shanghai Airport Authority, China Duty Free Group and China Telecom Shanghai have launched a joint campaign at both airports.

From now through Dec 31, inbound travelers can visit China Duty Free stores at the two airports and share their experience on overseas social media to receive a bilingual "Shanghai city guide" package, featuring a city map and duty-free shopping coupons.
At Pudong Airport, travelers spending at least 850 yuan ($125) at the T2 arrivals duty-free store can also receive a seven-day China Telecom SIM card with voice and data services. And it doesn't stop there, visitors who collect stamps at three designated locations – the Shanghai Airport arrivals duty-free store, Wukang Mansion and Columbia Circle/Xingfu Li – can redeem a limited-edition Year of the Horse gift from China Duty Free when departing through Pudong Airport T2.
Another special campaign is running through Aug 31 at selected duty-free areas at Pudong and Hongqiao airports. Customers spending 888 yuan or more in a single transaction can enter a prize draw, with every participant guaranteed a gift, including dining coupons, beauty products and branded cultural merchandise.
