Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights
To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.

Air France-KLM's Shanghai office officially opened at the Wanhang International Center on Aug 15.
Located in the heart of the Jing'an Temple business district, the center was upgraded from a Shanghai airport city terminal and officially opened in Sept 2025. It has since attracted several airlines and aviation-related companies like EgyptAir and SITA.

Air France-KLM operates a global network through its dual hubs at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
In July, Shanghai Airport Authority and Air France-KLM signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen connectivity and enhance transit services. Air France's Shanghai-Paris service will increase from 7 to 10 flights per week, while KLM's Shanghai-Amsterdam service will rise from 6 to 7 flights per week.
The center also offers aviation, business and public services, including common‑use self‑service (CUSS) check‑in kiosks, baggage delivery to both Shanghai airports, and more than 500 services for talent, businesses and international visitors.
