Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights
To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.

Shanghai Airport Authority (AVINEX) and Air France-KLM Group signed a memorandum of understanding on July 9 to deepen intercontinental connectivity, strengthen Shanghai's role as a global transfer hub, and further improve international passenger travel services.

AVINEX President Zhou Hao said the airport is accelerating efforts to build a world-class international aviation hub and hopes to work with the group to expand network links, increase transfer capacity, and improve service quality.
Noud Duyzings, senior vice-president for the Netherlands and international markets at the group, said Shanghai's airports serve as a key hub for its Asia-Pacific development, with major potential for future growth and for route recovery and expansion.
Shanghai's appeal to inbound tourism has continued to rise this year. In the first half, the city received nearly 3.17 million inbound foreign visitor arrivals, up 22 percent year-on-year, according to data from Shanghai authorities.
Against that backdrop, the two sides will cooperate on route network expansion, transfer convenience, operations, joint promotion, and passenger services, while also adding capacity to Paris, Amsterdam, and other major European and Chinese gateway cities.
Air France-KLM operates Air France, KLM, and other carriers across 118 countries and regions, serving 318 destinations, underscoring the deal's network significance for Shanghai and Europe in the long run.
