Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights
To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.

Shanghai Airport Authority (AVINEX) is expanding international routes, increasing domestic express services, and improving transfer facilities during the summer travel season from July 1 to Aug 31, providing passengers with a more efficient and convenient travel experience.
To support Shanghai's goal of becoming a world-renowned tourism city, the city's airports are strengthening their role as a comprehensive international aviation hub. Their connectivity continues to rank among the top hubs in the Asia-Pacific region.
During the summer peak, Shanghai's airports have launched, increased, or resumed flights to destinations across Asia, Europe, and Oceania, including Cheongju, Krasnoyarsk, Marseille, Zurich, Stockholm, and Adelaide, offering travelers a wider range of international destinations.

The Shanghai Pudong to Cheongju route provides a new option for short weekend getaways, while services to European destinations give travelers access to cultural landmarks, natural scenery, and unique local experiences.
For domestic travelers, AVINEX has developed an express route network with more than 12 outbound flights daily. Shanghai Hongqiao Airport operates 15 express routes, while Shanghai Pudong International Airport runs 10 routes.
The high-frequency network serves major cities including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, and Xi'an. Base carriers such as China Eastern Airlines continue to increase services to enhance connectivity.
