Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights
To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.

Shanghai Airport Authority (AVINEX) and Fraport AG held a cargo community meeting in Shanghai on June 23, bringing together nearly 20 airlines and logistics companies to strengthen hub cooperation and ecosystem development.
As leading aviation hub operators in Asia and Europe, the two sides have maintained close cooperation in enhancing air cargo connectivity, supporting China–Europe trade, strengthening global supply chain resilience, and facilitating efficient cross-border logistics flows.
AVINEX highlighted efforts to transform the advantages of its dual-hub network into high-quality service capabilities by developing standardized and differentiated products for high-value cargo, thereby enhancing supply chain resilience and the competitiveness of value-added services.
The two sides will focus on addressing bottlenecks in import and export processes, improving cargo efficiency through digital platforms, and establishing optimization lists with clear responsibilities, timelines, and measurable performance targets.
They also agreed to further strengthen the cargo community cooperation mechanism, drawing on Frankfurt's experience to build a logistics ecosystem centered on Shanghai Pudong International Airport and extending across the Yangtze River Delta region.
On June 22, the two sides held a bilateral strategic meeting to discuss multimodal transport connectivity, resilience in the face of external uncertainties, and coordinated global marketing strategies in the air freight sector.
Since signing a memorandum in November last year, the two parties have expanded cooperation in capacity optimization, digital transformation, talent exchange, and innovation, further reinforcing Shanghai's role as a global aviation cargo hub.
