Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights
To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. (For details, please visit the official website of the State Administration for Market Regulation's Defective Product Recall Technical Center at www.samrdprc.org.cn/xfpzh/xfpgnzh)
Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The ongoing exhibition, which will run until March 17, features a dedicated 64-square-meter cultural space themed around Venice. This area showcases iconic Venetian attractions such as gondolas, the Carnival of Venice and Rainbow Island. Visitors have the opportunity to engage with interactive, artificial intelligence-driven photo booths and can participate in a lucky draw by registering as members of AVINEX.
Daily performances inspired by Venice culture are scheduled at 10:45 am and 3:45 pm, offering magic acts and crystal ball displays that enhance the immersive experience for visitors at the airport. These performances contribute an additional cultural layer to the transit environment.
Since establishing a sister airport partnership in 2019, Shanghai and Venice have been paving the way for a direct flight route between China and Venice, set to launch in September 2024. This exhibition further strengthens cultural ties between the two cities.
Following the implementation of a visa-free policy for Italian passport holders in November 2022, Shanghai now operates about 50 weekly flights to Milan, Rome, and Venice. The Shanghai-Venice route will increase to five weekly flights starting March 29.
