Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights
To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. (For details, please visit the official website of the State Administration for Market Regulation's Defective Product Recall Technical Center at www.samrdprc.org.cn/xfpzh/xfpgnzh)
Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Shanghai ranked first among Chinese cities in international business jet movements in 2025, handling 2,260 inbound and outbound flights, up 8.2 percent year-on-year. The city's two airports handled a total of 5,033 business jet flights, a 3.2 percent increase.
With a growing number of major diplomatic, multinational business, and cultural events, Shanghai has become one of the country's most active hubs for business aviation. Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport jointly ensured smooth operations throughout the year.
Traffic peaks typically occur in April and June, aligning with the city's exhibition calendar and business travel seasons. Around April last year, demand surged during the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix, Auto Shanghai, and Electronica China.
On April 22, 2025, the two airports recorded a daily high of 33 business jet movements. Internationally, the most popular destinations were Seletar Airport, Haneda Airport, and Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
Domestically, leading routes linked Shanghai with Beijing Capital International Airport, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, and Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport.
