Driven by innovation, the project will integrate high-end business, retail, and cultural tourism offerings to meet growing demand for services linked to the airport's expanded role and Shanghai's evolving urban landscape.
Several major brands, including Shanghai Bank and China Duty-Free Group, signed partnership agreements with the airport during the event. These collaborations will support the development of the commercial plaza.
By 2025, Hongqiao Airport anticipates serving over 50 million passengers annually. The new commercial plaza is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing the airport's services and strengthening Shanghai's appeal as a global consumer destination.
