Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights
To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. (For details, please visit the official website of the State Administration for Market Regulation's Defective Product Recall Technical Center at www.samrdprc.org.cn/xfpzh/xfpgnzh)
Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

On Nov 19, Shanghai Airport Authority (AVINEX), China Eastern Airlines (CEA) and Walt Disney Studios launched a movie-themed event in Terminal 1, blending airport operations, aviation and tourism around "Zootopia 2".
That afternoon, the newly enhanced Disney Zootopia livery aircraft operated flight MU5161 from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport, carrying 151 passengers on a fully immersive journey.

Pudong Airport Terminal 1 was transformed: check-in counters, self-service kiosks, the service area, seating lounges, boarding gates and even jet bridges were decorated with beloved "Zootopia 2" characters and film motifs.
In the security and departure lounges, these animated figures offered gentle reminders to wait in line in an orderly manner and keep track of personal items, creating playful interactions that drew many travelers to pause and snap photos.
Inside the plane, the cabin's overhead bins, tray tables and headrest covers were redesigned with scenes from "Zootopia 2". Flight attendants wore character-themed accessories and hosted in-flight activities to surprise and delight.
AVINEX and CEA also promoted their forthcoming route: the Shanghai — Auckland — Buenos Aires service, launching Dec 4. This will be the world's longest single-stop commercial passenger flight.
From Nov 19 through Dec 18, the airport is running a WeChat mini-program membership drive: new users can earn "Zootopia 2" and AVINEX-themed stickers, and referrals or points can be redeemed for character figurines or blind-box gifts.
