Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights
To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.

Official data showed that, from July 1 to 20, Shanghai's Pudong and Hongqiao international airports facilitated 2,268 takeoffs and landings per day, an increase of 9.5 percent year-on-year, and the average daily passenger throughput of 357,000 passengers increased by 15.6 percent year-on-year.

The one-stop comprehensive service center in Pudong Airport Terminal 2 was put into trial operation on June 29, and the arrival area of Hongqiao Airport Terminal 1 also provides one-stop entry facilitation services. They provide 24-hour convenient services covering payment, inquiry, communication, and transportation for inbound passengers.
In order to enhance the transit flight experience for foreign passengers with 72/144-hour visa-free transit, the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism launched the "Free Half-day Tour of Shanghai" at Pudong Airport, allowing foreign passengers to enjoy the scenery, culture and food of Shanghai.
To build the "China Young" cultural brand, Shanghai airports launched a two-month series of activities in summer combining culture, business and services. It focuses on distinctive culture to present passengers with cultural performances and opportunities for family interactions.
A number of dining shops are also broadcasting the 2024 Olympic Games.
