Civil Aviation Administration of China: Power banks without 3C certification or recalled models banned on domestic flights
To ensure the safety of aviation operations, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued an urgent notice. Starting June 28, passengers are prohibited from carrying power banks that lack a 3C certification label, have unclear 3C labeling, or belong to recalled models or batches on domestic flights. Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will enforce the requirements of this notice to ensure passenger safety. We kindly ask all passengers to comply with this notice by carefully checking the certification label, brand, and model of your power banks before traveling. Please do not bring non-compliant power banks on board. Remove your power bank before security checks to prevent travel delays.

The Shanghai Airport Authority and the Bank of Shanghai signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Dec 23.
The authority is an important contributor to building Shanghai into an international shipping center, while the bank plays an important role in building Shanghai into an international financial center. The two parties will consider the agreement a new starting point to give full play to their respective advantages.
They will continue to explore new areas of cooperation, enhance their core competitiveness and make greater contributions to connect Shanghai with the country’s development pattern featuring domestic and international dual circulation.
Qin Yun, chairman of the Shanghai Airport Authority and Jin Yu, chairman of the Bank of Shanghai, delivered a speech at the signing ceremony. Feng Xin, president of of the authority and bank president Zhu Jian signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the parties.
The attendees included the leaders of departments of both parties and of the bank’s main subsidiaries and branches.
Qin said that the Bank of Shanghai has provided strong support for the Shanghai Airport Authority throughout the business cooperation period and helped it attain leapfrog devleopment.
He added that against the background of this year’s COVID-19 epidemic, Shanghai Airport Authority, as a municipal State-owned enterprise, has taken social responsibility as its mission and fulfilled its duties. In terms of boosting regional economic development it has deployed ahead of schedule.
He pointed out that there is broad space for cooperation between the two sides.
Jin said that the authority has made outstanding contributions to building Shanghai into an international shipping center. Though facing the risk of imported cases of COVID-19, it has taken on its responsibility as the “gateway” and has fought against the epidemic on the front line to ensure the safety of Shanghai and the whole country.
He stated that the cooperation with the Shanghai Airport Authority is not only mutually beneficial and win-win, but is also a crucial step for both parties to make progress together and make greater contributions to the country's commercial air transportation industry.
