Shanghai Pudong International Airport has implemented a whole range of measures and new services of epidemic prevention and control against COVID-19 to protect passengers during the upcoming summer vacation.
The various measures that have been taken include body temperature tests and disinfectant spraying, particularly in security check areas. Free liquid disinfection soap is also available at every corner of the airport's two terminals and a new fresh air system is in place, installed with UV disinfection lamps, creating a safe and cool environment. Every trolley is disinfected before each usage.
Social distance should be maintained during security checks, lining up, taking the shuttle bus and waiting for a taxi. Passengers must therefore put on face masks, avoid gathering and honor social distancing guidelines, remaining at least one meter from other people.
In order to avoid gathering and reduce interpersonal contacts, the airport promotes self-service check-in kiosks, online payment at shops and restaurants and in parking areas, as well as online booking for bus tickets.
When flights arrive at the airport, staffs will check body temperatures and health codes of all passengers. Those with abnormal temperatures or health codes will have their body temperature retested, information registered and follow-up measures taken pursuant to the epidemic prevention requirements of Shanghai.
The airport is also strengthening protective materials equipment in security inspection areas. For example, the manual check counters are all installed with protective transparent acrylic boards to avoid droplet transmission and cross infection.
We advise you to be aware of the epidemic prevention requirements at your destination before departure, and to prepare and supply information in advance in accordance with the requirements of your airline.
